• This texture looks dope in the sunlight I love the way the shadows play in all the little carvings
  • just like sunshine
  • Want a chance to win this lovely spoon rest and a bunch of other goodies provided by other local ladies?? Go check out my last post for details on how to enter this amazing giveaway!!! @crazygreenstudios
  • Carved a bunch of bowls this evening This is the porcelain clay body I've been trying out. Such a dream to carve, it slices away like butter!
  • Hello to all my new followers!! I am stunned by how much the repost has made my account blow up but I am so grateful for all the love!!!
  • This is a funky little piece, which started as another closed form that I threw. I cut it in half to check my wall thickness (I love slicing up pots, it makes me less attached to my work) and I'm so proud of these even walls! My professor pointed out that the two halves looked neat pressed together like this and I agreed so I attached them and tapped the bottom flat. Don't know what I'll use it for, but I can't wait to see it glazed.
  • Someone I know asked me to make them a spoon rest, and because I had never made them before, I made quite a few to get a feel for altering the rims. These are fun to throw, I think I'll make more if I can sell these few.

  • Happy I loaded both of our studio kilns today, we shall see the results tomorrow night I have all my porcelain mugsbowls in one of the kilns, and I am already dying from excitement
  • I wasn't sure if I liked these mugs when I first pulled them out of the kiln.. I felt like the difference in the blue glaze diagonal against the clear was too subtle and looked almost..accidental.. but they are growing on me and I'm super proud of that handle
  • A large carved bowl! not the *most* functional design because of the holes but I just love the way they look so much.. and it could still be used for fruits, bread or something else of that sort. Or just to look pretty on a table
  • Loving how my spoon rests turned out!
  • Tiny carved bowl these things are sooo delicate, especially at this bone dry stage. I'm loading a bisque tomorrow, so this lil dude will be getting hot soon
  • Wishing people could be as simple as clay.. oh well. Excited about the possibility of making more jewelry
  • A few of the necklace pendants have been glaze fired! I envisioned them being more green than brown but I applied the glaze too thin. Although, they are growing on me swipe through all the pics to see my awkward attempt at modeling one of the necklaces

  • I had a bunch of necklace pendants come out of the kiln today and goodness are they gorgeous!!!! I used a wide variety of glazes on this batch so check out my stories to see the other colors
  • These would make a cute pair of earrings! I threw a bunch of tiny bowls today, and I'm hoping to throw a bunch of big ones tomorrow
  • Trimmed bowl butts! they all survived the trimming process! They are still bulkierthicker than I prefer but I leave them that way on purpose, knowing that I will remove half or more of the wall-thickness when I carve them.

  • This glaze combo is simply mesmerizing!! Since I've started working in porcelain I have narrowed down the glazes that I have been using, so this combo took a back seat for a while but I'm going to start bringing back these vibrant colors
  • Swipe through the photos to see all the different glaze colors!! The flasks survived!!!! (..mostly) there was a green one too, but I accidentally dropped it on the concrete before I even got a chance to take a picture of it
